From Fixer-Upper to Imagine Build
Using Sascha’s extensive remodeling and building experience, Nell’s project management ability, and creative design skills, they found their calling as newlyweds when they created their magic together.
More than that, their dream was born, and Imagine Build was created.
Meet SaschaImagine Build is an extension and rebranding of Plouffe Construction, a successful sole-proprietor remodeling company started by Sascha in 2005.
Sascha forged his way to being in high demand through his meticulous and skillful offerings of full-service remodeling, custom cabinetry, and fixture work, honing his skills as a master carpenter.
Sascha is an incredible builder, adaptive problem solver, and is detail-oriented in executing his projects. Sascha also has an extensive network of individuals in the trades who he calls on for support in their areas of expertise, so no project scope is off-limits.
Meet nellNell studied business and worked up the corporate ladder to become a leader in sourcing, purchasing, and vendor/contract management, most recently in the property management industry.
She has 20+ years of experience in project management, communication, planning/scheduling, and sourcing and has a deep inherent skill in color and design. While she thrived in her career path and has a keen eye for business, Nell spent her free time dreaming of creating a profession in interior design and home furnishing.
Creativity Runs in the FamilyNell and Sascha are children of renowned artists on all sides (painter, photographer, jewelry designer, and lithographer)
they were destined to add beauty to the world in their own way.
In 2021, when Nell met Sascha, she said that she met her paintbrush. Nell soon pushed her creativity to no limits, and Sascha was right by her side to collaborate and bring practical solutions to the execution of their vision.
Nell and Sascha jumped on flipping Sascha’s former home into a successful and thoughtfully appointed short-term rental. After that project, they began tackling their home one room at a time.
The projects Nell and Sascha collaborated on in their home and rental were nothing short of magical, and they are now looking to collaborate officially, offering their design-build services to clients.
Off-Duty Adventures That Inspire Our On-Site MagicIn their free time, Nell and Sascha love to travel near and far.
From camping on family land in northern Wisconsin with their dog Buddy Holly, to walking the streets of Mexico looking for the best ceviche.
Sascha owns an indoor skate bowl with friends, and skateboards weekly. You may also catch Sascha performing at a local comedy open mic.
Nell is a foodie, and is always trying new recipes on Sascha (who is not nearly as in to food as she is). Nell is also a yoga student and teacher at her favorite studio in Northeast Minneapolis; the part of town they call home.

After years of using their skills individually, Imagine Build is about taking things further.
They offer an enhanced design-build format and mindful collaboration to make anything possible. In 2025 Nell became a licensed General Contractor in the state of Minnesota, so Imagine Build is a fully licensed and insured builder/remodeler operation.
